It may look like ballet training, but it’s not! Conducted at a ballet barre, this class combines elements of ballet, pilates and yoga. Barre classes rely mainly on your bodyweight for resistance and the moves challenge your core stability and balance. This workout is designed to achieve a ‘dancers body’ – strong and lean. This is a great class for improving body tone, posture, endurance and body awareness. Here are our favourite reasons to try a Barre class:

  • Hard on muscles, kind on joints… small, controlled movements reduce pressure on your joints, tendons, ligaments and spine, eliminating stress on the body. Barre focuses on correct form and alignment to improve your posture and core strength, give you a taller appearance and reduce the risk of injury.
  • No experience required… Larni will guide you through the movements – you don’t need any dance training to enjoy a Barre class. You can move at your own level of ability and pace.
