We have an opportunity for an experienced, hands-on maintenance expert to join our small but dedicated maintenance and garden team.

About The Role

This is a varied role, responsible for ensuring all aspects of The West Bay Club & Spa are presented to the highest standards, from our lovely grounds, to the immaculate presentation of our houses, Island Wellness Spa, sports facilities and Bay Bistro.

 The role involves:

  • Taking direction from the Maintenance Team Leader, respond to requests swiftly and carry out your work delivering first class workmanship, high attention to detail and professional results.
  • Ensure all work is carried out thoughtfully, tidily and as efficiently as possible, with close links to the Housekeeping team and other departments.
  • Where appropriate, working alongside outside trades contractors.
  • Working to required legal standards such as COSHH, Health & Safety at Work, Manual Handling and any others relevant to this work.
  • Being a reliable and trusted team member.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You must be highly skilled in a wide variety of maintenance areas; it would be a real advantage if you are time-served qualified in a relevant trade.
  • You will have experience of working in a high quality environment, particularly within the hotel or leisure industry.
  • Highly flexible and able to work different shifts 40 hours a week, 5 days out of 7 (so including weekends on rota) with emergency call outs on occasion.
  • You will be helpful and self-motivated, with a positive outlook and friendly approach.
