Our Pool Programme

Splash out in our 20 metre heated indoor pool or join one of our Aqua-Fit or Lane Swim sessions. We offer a range of family fun swim times where you and your children can get involved in games and activities including Water Polo and Wet ‘n’ Wild. We run a low chlorinated pool, so much better for you and there’s no need to worry about getting sore, red eyes!

Our Spinning Programme

This renowned indoor cycling class will take you through flats, hills, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training all designed to offer the ultimate cardiovascular workout as well as toning and strengthening. A 45 minute class burns an average of 675 calories per ride and with over 13 spinning classes a week, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved and to try different types of spinning class.

Our High-spec Techno-gym

We use state-of-the art Technogym equipment because it’s designed to offer maximum variation, functionality and performance with modern design. Technogym is considered the world leader in wellness and fitness, which has seen them supply the athletic training equipment for 5 Olympic Games since 2000, including London 2012.

Our fitness room is fully air-conditioned and is fitted out with 5 HDTV screens and a sound system.

Our Cardio Equipment includes: 1 Recline Bike, 2 Upright Bikes, 1 Crossover Crosstrainer, 1 x Syncro Crosstrainer, 1 Vario Crosstrainer, 2 Concept2 Rowers, 1 Stepper and 2 Treadmills.

Our Resistance & Free Weights include: Shoulder Press, Chest Press, Crossover Cables, Dumbells (1kg – 44kg), Ercolina, Leg Curl, Leg Extension, Leg Press, Olympic Bench, Preacher Bench, Pull Up Bar, Smith Machine, Squat Rack and Vertical Traction.

Our Rehabilitation & Stretch section includes: Bosu Balls, Fitballs, Mat Area, Medicine Balls, Resistance Bands, Rocker Board, Stability Discs, TRX and Wobble Board.

West Bay Kids

Children will love our outdoor children’s play area, outdoor splash pool and the extensive programme of activities in our West Bay Kids programme including water polo, wet ‘n’ wild fun sessions in the pool, table tennis, gymnastics and much more – which all take place under the supervision of experienced and qualified staff, giving you total peace of mind: Football, Gymnastics, Lil’ Hip Hoppers,Squash Coaching, Pool Fun Hour, Racketball, Street Dance, Table Tennis, Tae Kwon Do, Tennis Coaching, Junior Tennis Coaching, Uni-Hoc and Water Polo.

Cycling at the West Bay Country Club and Spa

Bring your own bikes, or enjoy 10% off bike hire for West Bay guests at Wight Cycle Hire, who will deliver family bikes and helmets to your house.

Our Tennis Programme

Tennis Director Andrew Fisher has established a forward thinking and vibrant tennis programme at The West Bay Country Club. Regarded as one of the UK’s leading and most successful tennis coaches, Andrew has coached 13 national champions, including the current Junior Grand Slam winner Heather Watson. Andrew has developed a strong Club Tennis programme which has been designed to give players of all ages, abilities and experiences the opportunity of enjoying tennis, whether they are looking for high performance coaching or to play socially for fun. As well as establishing a vibrant Club programme, with his expertise in player development, Andrew was quick to recognise a need for a progressive Performance Programme on the Island too. Andrew is supported by Head Coach Karen Fisher who has represented Britain in the Federation Cup.

Our Clubhouse

The West Bay Clubhouse is open from 8:30am to 9:30pm daily and offers a selection of home-made light snacks, delicious fresh coffee and speciality teas as well as fresh vitality juices and smoothies. The Clubhouse is a great place to kick-back and relax with a book, magazine or newspaper and let our dedicated and passionate team look after you.
